Meals on Wheels Program in Trouble

I read some sobering news about the nutrition program Meals on Wheels, which I just wrote about in my previous article about home delivery meals. It looks like the high gas prices and high food costs have caused some branches of Meals on Wheels to lose some of its volunteer force, a critical component of the program as vulnerable seniors depend on these volunteers not only for the food but for emotional needs.
