My aunt recently received a second degree burn between her legs from hot chocolate which she could not hold. I’m not sure why it was given to her in the first place. My family wasn’t notified until the following day and then it was a web of lies regarding what happened. The care giver tried to say it was from her depends but the nurse attending to her said it was a burn. The caregiver did not file an incident report and everybody is acting ignorant as to what happened. This includes the general manger over the facility. What steps should we take next?
