You don’t always have to pay for credit reports! Here are a few that you may have heard of. You may not think it’s that important to check your loved ones credit, but it is, especially if they have considerable assets. You don’t want people taking advantage of Mom and Dad, or find out about credit lines that they opened up without realizing it. 

• Annual Credit Report  – you are only allowed to retrieve your records once a year for free.
   
• Eloan –it gives you a good estimate of what your credit score may be. You can also apply for loans here. 
   
• Credit Karma — You can also access credit karma with Eloan, but this is the original site that also allows you to monitor your credit. 

You can also get free reports on a trial basis by going to any of the 3 main reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian and Transunion.
